We're glad you're here! Visiting any church for the first time can be an unsettling experience. Let us put your mind at ease! The services will be inspiring and refreshing. The preaching will be Biblical and practical. You will find friendly teachers, workers, and staff members that seek to show God’s love to each member of your family. Here are a few answers to your questions about what you can expect when you visit Big Bear Baptist Church.

What should I expect on my first visit?

We have all of our Sunday services in the morning. Each of the services are unique from each other, meaning, we won’t be singing the same songs or preaching the same messages during each service. So, this will allow you to get something fresh from each service to help and encourage you.

After our 10:15 Sunday school time, we will have some free refreshments and fellowship before we start the 11:30am service. We would love for you to join us for this.

In each of the worship services, you will enjoy the beautiful, Christ-honoring music of our congregation, traditional & conservative hymns and songs, special groups, and soloists. The music will be followed by a practical Bible message from Pastor Elwart that is unique to each service.

What about my children?

Loving nursery care is available on Sundays for infants and toddlers through age 2. The nursery is also available for mom's to use during any service as needed along with the option of keeping them in the service with you.

Your children will also have the opportunity to be a part of the very beginnings of our youth program. It is our desire to plug your children into age appropriate classes that will help them grow spiritually and make godly friendships that will last a lifetime.

What should I wear?

There is not a dress code at Big Bear Baptist Church. You will find that many of our members wear traditional “Sunday” dress. Our greatest desire is for you to feel welcome and encouraged on your first visit.

Am I expected to give in the offerings?

No. We want our services to be a gift to you. We hope that you will find Big Bear Baptist Church to be a warm, friendly church that glorifies God through the powerful preaching of His Word. We hope that you will visit again and that Big Bear Baptist Church will come to be your church home. Please don’t feel any pressure or obligation to participate in the offering as a guest.
